How does this clip on aircon pipe fit?

  182
Afternoon all,

I think this is the air con pipe, anyway, it has a plastic clip on the part of the pipe that curves, on the actuay fram/slam panel (not sure exactly what to call it) there is a metal part that the clip bolts to, however, it also has a hole in what looks like the plastic clip on the pipe kind of slots in to....

When i try to slide it in how it looks like its meant to, the holes for the bolt dont line up, anyone any ideas why or what im doing wrong?

heres some pics as it may make what im talking about a little more clear/understandable ha.

thanks
Austin

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
the bottom bit you can see sticking out in the last picture locates into a hole then you slide it down to engage. You then put a bolt in the top hole into the captive thread you can see in 2nd picture

Thanks Da, i thought that, but the problem is, when slide it in, the holes don't line up so couldn't put a bolt through them. Really confused how that could be?

force it, the rivnet thing will more likley be knackered hence why no bolt, people normally just zip tie it or remove the rivnut and nut/bolt it
