The bearings are replaceable so they do come apart but not seen this before

This, I had just replaced them for new genuine Fluro ones...

Would the suspension have enough droop for me to remove the topmount and press in the bearig with a bench vise?

Circlip come out?

Held in by a circlip.

New design is miles better and prevents this happening.

saw the same few years ago, only seen it the once. replaced the bearings and they were fine.

circlip is at the bottom, this is coming out the top!
tried pushing it back in a vise, broke the vise.
next up was some threaded rod, washers and nuts...that did the trick, I even staked them! But the weight of the car pushed it up a little again.....
Need to go to a meet on sunday, so Urgently need to find a pair (one spare, always have a spare!)

the bearing is in a sleeve fwir and it gets punched up and out of the sleeve. don't waste your time pushing it back in, will come straight back out once you drive it.
