How good is this amp and amp kit

Im looking at getting myself a decent 4 way amp and not sure which one to get ive seen one im interested in, could someone tell me how good this one is and whether it will work with the amp kit im looking at as well.

Plus are these good prices, and will it take long as its being shipped from america.

ok - the amp looks like its rated in max power - NOT a good sign. Plus it will take a LONG time to get to you, about 6 weeks - what it took to get my old sckool rocky! and it will cost about $30 to get it posted

Also if its over $100 (i think its this) you get hit by import tax ect!!

The best thing to do - is to buy the kit from somewhere like - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.ukwww.caraudiodirect.co.uk and whats your budget for the amp in £??

Il look on some sites for you for good offers - i am assuming its for 2 channels for the front and 2 bridged for a sub??

sorry just looked at the amp kit didnt realise it was a top of the range one - you woudnt need it for this amp ampway - thats need if your going into serious competitions - a half decent one will cost about £30 for a 4 gauge - you end up paying more than that for that one anyway

4 gauge cable is expensive stuff, and thats a bargain kit........

Autoleads do a 900W pack which is £40 and all you get is the power cable, earth cable, and fuse and holder....

also your local Motor World can get Crunch amps, there the cheaper end of the market

^^ true but by the time you get it to the UK - postage and time more importantly - its not worth it

Also if he is only running 1 amp - he will be able to use 8 gauge cable with no porblems on that sort of power

All i want is a decent high watted 4 channel amp to power my sub and components. Im not too bothered about price, just want a good one. i thought this one was good but if you say motor world do them it must be sh*t then.

What sort of amp kit should I get if im after a 1000watt + amp?

What is the best amp for under $200 on the link aboth, Im confused with the wattage and peak power etc. I want one that will power a decent sub and components.

is there any reason why you want to buy it from US ebay??? - it will not work out any cheaper when you factor in shipping and import tax - and the time your going to have to wait to get it!!

Get a second hand amp - somthing along the lines of a JL 300.4

Basically just look at the RMS or contiunous(sp) power - as 1000w sony amps wont be able to put that out on a continuous basis - no where near it in fact more like 200 rms!!

Brun I didnt mean it like that, Im not caining them, as I do like motorworld! I got my rims and tyres from the branch in maidstone. And have bought a few bits there before. Just when It comes to audio all you see is the splx range and when you look at the price you dont see it as quality stuff.

I had some SPLX stuff...was pretty good for price. Very good if ur startin up n cant afford much (like i used to be)

if you know ice you know thats a good thing.

If you import from the us go for hifonics stuff, its good, not massively sure about "crunch"

these are IMO the best car audio places to buy ure stuff from.. but if u are one of these ppl that has to have it now..goto ure nearest Motor-World or

personally id get a local shop to price match a net price, some of em will if there makin a profit, that way you got some proper comeback if it goes after a week.........

Ill check those sites phil, just I thought that getting it imported from america could work out cheaper, as the price is so low in the first place. never mind, ill see what decent amps the english sites have to offer,
