How hard to swap a rsi engine (96) to a valver??

just wondering what would be involved in swapping my 96 rsi engine which is in an rsi chassis over to a complete 1.8 16v engine? would i run into any difficulties?

just need loom, top mount and ecu

nice one mate easy enough swap then? how long do you think to do? a day job? does the top mount bolt in or are there mods involved?

Just bolts in, if you ahver teh right tools, and haven't done it before allow a day to get the engine ut, esp wiht seized parts, and another day to put it back in, and then anohter day or so for any problems.

If you've done it all before then a day should be all you need

Might be worth overhauling the valver engine before you drop it in, check shells etc, and change stuff like water pump and crank oil seals etc, just alot easier to do wiht engine out

nice one mate thanks for the advice, i am planning on stripping one and rebuilding it should be like having a new engine in there, cant wait to feel the difference in power
