how long do k-tec take to fit an exhaust system

thinking of booking my motor in for a decent exhaust as I'm sure mines blowing :s how long do they need your car for ???

They took about 45mins to fit mine inc new rear mount (which they cable tied to get to sit right!!!!)

We normally allow 1 hour to fit an exhaust and we sometimes use 1 or 2 heavy duty cable ties to reinforce the OE rear hanger, this is very common practice and is not at all "dodgy".

Sorry to high jack the thread but it saves starting a new one...... do you use the cable ties to hold the rubber bit in the hanger, up to stop it sagging under the wait of the exhaust? As in it looks like a cross with a hole in the middle and I am guessing you put the cable ties either side of the hole and around the top of the mount? Hope this makes sense lol

Yes mate thats right,stops movement in the mount and premature wear

It's not dodgy using decent heavy duty cable ties and making it tidy.

It's not there fault the mounts are pisch.

Black = Rubber hanger

Without starting a new thread......where the exhaust goes through the rubber hole in the exhaust mount is there something that goes on the other end to stop it coming back out again?

Yeah there is a nut on the back to stop that.
