How long have you had your clio

  Elise/VX220/R26

Ive had mine 6 months now. Quite happy with it all though the silly little faults/rattles are starting to annoy me now (its in the dealer today for the third time in 6 months!) Not sure how long Ill keep it. About 3 months in I sort of wished Id gone for a type R or a coupe turbo but I think as an all round package the 172 is pretty much unbeatable at the moment. I can see me having it between another 2 and 4 years (if I dont crash it lol)

nearly had mine a year in a a few weeks. did have a go advertising it in the summer because I wished I gone the type R, and then I wanted a Alpa Lusso convertable. the clios ok but I want to get somthing more prestige next time or somthing with a turbo. I did even want a fiat coupe turb but even at 24 the insurance is over 2G sod that!! even a 225 TT with a chip will be on my next list

over 2 half years, 3 years in March 2004 - still love it, still brings a smile to my face when I drive it, will be sad when the time comes to sell it.

thats pretty much what I found m8. was getting quotes for £1800 for the fiat. Nice motor but couldnt justify wasting all that cash on insurance!

  251bhp Skoda Fabia vRS

2 and a half months. Little Rattles really starting to annoy me now though. Love the car but maybe I should have gone for a type r.

Ive had 4 clios in approx. 2 years  Will not be having another one though thanks to the piss poor build quality and useless customer service

had mine 4 bout 10 months and love it! apart from lil problems that i always find but thats expectable on 10yr old car i spose :)

3.5 months.. no probs as of yet. I like it, and its certainly very fast for chuffing about in, if not rapid for track days.. but thats not a prob cos im building a kit car in 6months for track/sunday morn cruises. like all the features and for the price i got i wouldnt dare complain.. 1.6FOCUS money for 172MKII with sixcd esp t/c CC etc..

about the prestiege thing... i get lots of looks, and for the uninitiated when i slowly turn out of a junction and they see a car with a different style they know its a small car modern eco friendly..cheeky even and bat an eye.. sure. but when i floor the f**k out of it and the engine roars (its much louder out side trust me) all i get is disbelife, because they sterotype these size of cars and its shape.. usually i see the WTF!!! words escaping their mouth hehe kiss my ass !!! dont let anyone say it isnt fast because in second gear at 4.2 4.3K when you floor it >>>>>>>>>>> fast (0-60 may not be astonishing but 25-50 / 30-60 / 80-110 etc.. are ((30-70 is 6.4 as mesured by a clio member here ((officially its 6.4)) this is the standard 172 thats as fast as a porche boxster 2003 or for mustang GT 1998 or 1995 ford escort cosworth + subaru wrx 2000 is 6.50 .... check out this link

i love this car for the money.. thats the crucial factor money
