how low can i go?

right, have got a stripped 1.2 16v with 17's on it, how much can i lower it? 60/70mm? i want to go as low as possible. `

Depends on wheel offset and whether your arch liners are out.

But I was told around 40mm safely but you may be fine with 60mm

Sam

i can take the arch liners out, just screws right? also i just have normal 17s on it, they sit in the arch .

40 mm drop is easy. Will rub slightly on full lock but only on the plastic lining. I've heard ppl do 60mm though

On a 1.2 16v a 60mm drop is easy.

Wont rub at all, even on 17's.

If you only drop it 40mm, wont look lowered fella, will be big gaps over the arches.

Can fit 205/40 17 tyres too, all without rubbing.

front will rub on full lock at 40mm if u have 16's! but nothing spacers cnt handle! why dnt u go for 15's and slam it to the floor lol!

60mm/65mm shud be fine. ive mine down 60mm on 18's, odd bit of scrubbin here and there but nothin to worry about.

75mm can be done but the tire is very close to the bumpers

When i bought my clio it was lowered on 60mm springs with my 17's on. Because of insurance and the fact it wouldnt get up my drive i took them off and sold them. Ive now got coilovers and its lowered about 45mm at the moment ( i think anyway lol). im getting 16's so hoping that if i go up my drive at a certain angle i can perhaps go abit lower

Looks like you've got a mk 2 from the picture mofo and i dont know what offset your alloys are as you didnt answer my previous post but with an angle grinder and coilovers you can go -100mm + .... this is what i was advised by fred anyway when i had my clio and wanted it on the deck!!

mine is 60 on 15s and doesnt even look low lol

arch liners are just held in with screws and couple of they silly clips that always brake when you take them out lol. guy at renault gives me them for free tho so not a problem.

im going about -100mm on 15s
