How much do Renault charge for can change

  Audi A4 quattro 2.7
How much do Renault charge for 182 cam change? Website says from £200. How much are parts etc? Can you buy parts and give them then to make cheaper (probably not).

Just had my belts change but wishing I went to Renault as you get 1 year guarantee so I presume if anything breaks with it they fix it free..?

Renault website wouldnt say how much a cambelt change is for a 182 I dont think. It certainly wouldnt be £200, more like £900-£1000 from a renault garage.
Have a search on here and most will say to not take it to renault but instead to a trusted specialist who will do the work properly and charge less.

Where did you have your belts done?

You barely had enough money to have it done by a mate?! The parts including dephaser is £400+!

Providing a garage uses genuine parts then the warranty still stands. No need to go to Renault!

That has come down a lot! Dephaser used to be £250 odd on its own!

Good luck turning up at Renault with your parts though, or any specialist, if that part fails then you've got no comeback!

I wouldn't trust a Renault dealership ever again . I've just had both my belts , dephaser , water pump etc ..... done at Diamond Motors on Wednesday , bit of a trek , 5 and half hours round trip but well worth it because of Micks knowledge of these cars and no Bullsh1t . The last time Renault did it they had a price on their website for £499 , which they soon removed shortly afterwards but they'd already given me a quote which I got them to email me so they had to honour that price . They told me afterwards it should have been £1500 lol . Plus they used a " none genuine " water pump which was just about to fail after just 27k miles :anguished:

Not this again... It wasn't a mate, family friend who owns a garage that use to race these. I was just curious as I went on Renault websites typed my reg in and said 'cambelt change from £200' it just made me think if I should of used them. It's not that I didn't have the money, I was just being tight

If you go to a reputable garage , like one of the specialists on here who use genuine parts , you'll get a 1 year guarantee on the parts anyway . Just the same as you would if you take it to a Renault garage . The only advantage of taking it to a specialist is they will have done lots of these belts changes before so they'll actually know what they're doing and you won't get and BS off them either . Renault actually had mine for 5 days when they did all my belts last time , first of all they rand me to ask me to bring them my locking wheel nut key , even though there were no locking wheel nuts on the car lol , then they ordered the wrong parts in , so that was another delay . They told me they'd never done a 182's belts before . What a fiasco !

£200 quid is probably for a 1.2 clio. Takes about 30 mins to do a belt on one of them!

I got mine done for £85....

I bought the part and have an uncle with a garage and he charges me mates rates, but still

But yeah, from Renault? Don't expect much change from 1k. It's a ridiculous price.
