Dunno but I just weighed my new 17" OZ Chrono Evos (with tyres) and they came out at 15kg each. The wheel itself without the tyre is only 1kg heavier than a Superleggera, so Superlegerra 17s would be 14kg apiece. The 18" Wolfrace Octanes werent as heavy as I thought theyd be - still 19kg with the tyres, so changing the wheels has saved me 16kg of unsprung weight all round.
Yeah Tom I was in a dilemma over whether to cut my costs to the bone and go for the Red Squirrel, but in the end I managed to get a set of Eagle F1s so I was happy. I got the pics of them on here, a bit crap quality because I took the photo with my phone:
The Superleggera are about 6.8kg in 17" (I think. Im trying to remember what my OZ trade catalogue says!) The Chrono Evo are made of the same material and weigh about 7.7kg in the same 17" size. The tyres actually seem to weigh more than the wheels!
Regarding the Speedlines...does that mean that the 17" ones might actually be lighter or the same weight as the 16s because theyre not cast?
dang! i really want new wheels but wanna change from multi spokes, esp cos of the cleanin!! but want light ones!!!! Nicks Gonna hate me if i get them ones as much as they look the dogs danglies! any ideas peeps!?!?!
Those Speedline wheels are the WRC variants and are V. Expensive no centre caps either. The bottom right one only comes in 18"! There are two version of the turini the one we all know about and the WRC Wheel (Below) these have no centre cap and are £1200 in 17" with budget tyres!!
