1 Gallon = 4.5 litres,
22000 divided by 28 = 785.714 gallons
785.714 x 4.5 = 3535.7 litres
3535.7 x 94(pence) = £3323.57 approximately, or about 15p a mile :rasp:

I wouldn't call the clio a performance car, it's a hot hatch.
Having some practicalities (space, price, mpg), and 'quick' performance aswell.

No doubt it's a quick car, but why does money come into it? Performance cars imo are sub 5 secs 0-60, purely built for performace. What it says on the tin

I'm just saying mpg is a factor that hot hatch drivers consider, you're telling me you would have bought yours if it did 10mpg?

I'm sure many of those who you know, would. But have they ever tried sticking with a Clio on a twisty b-road drive? I'd happily go up agsinst any UberPower Skyline etc on any British B.

But performance usually consists of more than the 0-60 figures, ie handling?
The clio has a great 0-60, great handling AND returns good mpg, so i would say that is a performance car

Hot hatch is just a catagory of cars, which the clio is placed in, doesn't mean its not a performance vehicle

Currently i have an old banger of a fiesta and it costs less than £25 to fill up and can just about do essex to bristol and back on one tank (about 150 miles each way and with all the speed restrictions and road works oh and accidents on the m25 and m4, takes about 3-3.5 hours each way)!!!


Oh how my bank account will suffer.... hehehe

you should get a cheap diesel, i only do a 12mile round trip to work everyday which uses more fuel than my motorway trips but i love the car so i put up with it

wtf ! lol i was only curious and couldnt work out the gallons to litres. im not bothered hence why ive done 22k miles in a year.

so therefore ive spent £3323.57

i think thats quite impressive for me. f**k knows how i afford to do that plus all my other costs.
