***How much is it worth?***



I bought it for the prestige of owning one, and as a future investment. will do a lot of the work myself, once she is mint then I might drive her, or I might store her. Haven't decided yet
 
Very rough price as it is hard to price.. but 3.-3.5k. Maybe a bit more if it is extremely mint. Depending on how much its gonna cost you to sort bodywork and wheels etc, it may be better for you to sell it as it is for £2.5k.
Thanks..no plans to sell..will be doing most of the work myself, apart from the body. Personally I would prefer this to a trophy, but each to their own

looking for a price on what my black gold 2005 clio 182 is worth. done 71,000 miles, has almost full service history, belts done around 3 years ago only covered around 10,000 miles since, will have 12 months MOT. body work in pretty good condition had a full valet and machine polish about 500 miles ago, only thing that lets the bodywork down is the bonnet is quite stone chipped. has about 4 or 5 previous owners, i've owned it since june 2013. the number plate R18 TWO is also on the car but i am unsure if it will be worth trying to sell it separately?

Full belts and oils servicing will be carried out by the weekend. A very couple of minor cosmetic issues needing addressed but is in very good condition as expected for the mileage.

£3,500 to £5,000 is a fairly wide range but I suppose it's only real value is in what would someone be willing to pay for such a vehicle. Not that there are any plans to sell it I'll add.

Without sounding arsey, Regardless of what was paid for the car or how it has come into my possession, surely the overall value should be the same? I've inherited the vehicle through bereavement.
I just thought that as you were asking you probably got a bargain. Sorry to hear it came via bereavement.
I agree that a dealer would ask £5k for it, but if you were selling £3.5-4k wouldn't be an unreasonable ask imo.

Cheers folks, I'll see if I can get an agreed price of £5k then. Seems like a general consensus for the value.

The car is going to be used as a second car so won't be locked away. Maybe that's what should be done but I'd like To keep it looking sweet and straight.

Thinking of going back to cup shocks and lowered springs on my 172 cup , car is currently on spax rsx kit with full rear coilover and ktec solid top mounts all is 8 months old , been trying to get it setup right for the road for a while now and it always seems too stiff for my liking , any ideas what this setup would be worth to a more track enthusiast ?

A rear panel ding which needs doing, needs belts doing soonish. Tempted to garage it and keep it, as I have loved owning it, but might not bother.
What's it worth and who regrets selling theirs?!

Yeah. It's one of them isn't it. Chuck £1k at it getting it nice and then sell it for maybe 2k? Or park it up and do it gradually, then probably sell it!

If you're desperate for cash then flog it, but if you've room to store it then do that. It'll cost more to buy another in a year or 2.
Exactly this! I kind of see the decent 1*2's going the same way as the 205's in a few years, hence the "who regrets selling theirs". The main hurdle in this predicament is the wife...... ; (

182 FF with catcam 428s, H&R springs and dampers, Turinis [need refurb], PMS top mounts, PMS strengthened & solid bearing wishbones, 87k engine with fresh belts, dephaser, aux tensioner, water pump, clutch and all fluids... The shell has done 104k and is in respectable condition. Fresh 12 month MOT.

Electronic power steering conversion (DCI rack, electric column & control module) adjustable from 100% on to fully off. Fantastic steering feel

Engine -
K&n panel filter
KTEC decat pipe on stock exhaust (slightly louder than normal, a mature sporty note under load)

Wheels and Tyres -
Mint refurbished anthracite Turinis
Federal 595 SRS tyres. (all good, no rear a bit low, 5-6mm)

Recent service and front wheel bearing.

Not abused and incredibly strong engine. I've had a few 172 cups and 182s and this one really pulls VERY hard.

Bad bits
Small bubble of rust on natural rear arch (see pic)
Melted steering wheel
Brakes squeal a tiny bit
Gear knob has no writing on it as most do
Front and rear Renault Diamonds are black (I'm not a fan)
Very Faint dent front of bonnet
No rear wiper attached. Am planning to fit a grommet.

Apart from that it's a stunning little car, used as a second car and its an absolute joy to drive!

Price Guide for Clio 172 2002 Pearl Black.
45,000 genuine miles, good service history & all mots etc..
Freshly powder coated silver Turini's (including Turini spare) all with new mich Ps3's! New Tpi wheel bolts.
Cambelt/alt kit/dephaser/water pump and minor service carried out three weeks ago at top specialists. New engine mount/gearbox mount/dog bone/goodridge brake hoses(full set) at same time. Full mot. Brand new tailgate badges and zero car park dents so bodywork very good. Appearance better than most! No dents in bonnet but stone chipped. Interior excellent and original. Stainless steel exhaust. Powder coated silver top inlet manifold and fuel rail guard. All original items with car (172 wheels, bolts, top mani etc). Fairly standard/original apart from above. It's a good one!
