If it's had the belts done in the last 3 years, I'd say it'll be worth minimum £3.75k in standard form, it's rare to see an RB to go for less than that unless it's really ropey. Selling the seats and wheels separately like you suggested is probably your best bet, as they'll be worth more off the car than on it.I’m trying to work out the value of my Clio which I have owned for the last 6 years. It’s done 125k it’s rb not a cup no history sadly. Solid car not rotten but body work has several car park dents. At present it sits on turinis with recaro seats . I plan on selling these separately and turning it back to standard. What do you guys value the car at. Thanks Matt
The parts/engine alone would fetch that. RBs are always priced above Blacks and more so over Silvers. There are some proper nails out there for £4,000.No service history and dents, put back to standard seats and wheels. Maximum £2750.
He's had the car for 6 years and " no service history." 😲 it's not an engine I'd want to buy. So that's a £700ish bill straight away. He says car park dents. So I'm assuming it's got more than the odd small dent here and there. The bonnet is more than likely suffering the big dent at the front where it's been pressed down to close, also inside the seam along the front edge on the drivers side could be hiding rust, this is where they usually rust. That's another couple of hundred £££s to sort them if you want the car to look half decent, it might even need a new bonnet plus spraying. I'm also assuming that if the bodywork isn't that great the alloys won't be too. So that's another few hundred quid. So you're already up to £1200 - £2000, depending who you use to sort out these problems and the standard you want to bring the car back to.The parts/engine alone would fetch that. To OP - get some proper detailed pictures of everything and put a post up with what you think it's worth. Go from there.

With only a very, very brief description and no pics then it's all guess work at the end of the day. No rust could mean no visible rust, yet. The rear wheel arches, behind the petrol filler cap are all places that could be problematic in the very near future, so more £££s to sort it.
You are right. It’s only worth £500. @Mr Underhill pull yourself together 😂😂He's had the car for 6 years and " no service history." 😲 it's not an engine I'd want to buy. As if. We all know you take forever to buy a car 🤣🤣🤣.£505
Has to be worth over 5k with the belts and other TLC done, don’t see LYs for sale very often, and at least on the Facebook groups people go crazy for them.Hi all,
Considering selling my Clio 182 in liquid yellow (05 plate).
I don't have any recent pictures although I have some older photos if that helps, the car is currently stored in the garage at my parents house and has been off the road for about 4 and a half years.
The car was in good working order when I stopped using it, however the gearbox was beginning to crunch when going into 4th I believe. So rather than fork the cost of sorting that at the time (plus the day to day running costs, money was tight) I took it off the road.
The interior is in good condition and the exterior is for the most part - there is a small den ton the bonnet from being closed (I think this is relatively common?), And there is a dent on the passenger rear quarter from a small bump (can provide pictures etc on the weekend likely).
Car milage is currently sat on around 125k - 130k.
As car has been sat for so long I would expect there to be some tlc required (new battery etc as I didn't disconnect it 🙃)
Any thoughts/questions would be appreciated
Edit: forgot to mention, not that it would matter much, currently has turinis in black
Thanks for the comments. I will likely look to get it 'road ready' with new belts etc as you say so its as attractive as possible. Trouble is once I have it running again I know I won't want to let it go!Has to be worth over 5k with the belts and other TLC done, don’t see LYs for sale very often, and at least on the Facebook groups people go crazy for them.
Clearly you’ve kept it this long for a reason, if you wanted a LY back in future you’ll struggle. Thanks for the comments. The mileage haircut it had might also put people off, what’s the story with that? I’m just interested more than anything. Thanks for the comments. In all honesty I never found an answer for this! I wouldn't even know where to look for an answer... I think I tried to reach out to previous owners in the past but never got anywhere. The mileage haircut it had might also put people off, what’s the story with that? That’s a good spot, it’s the best colour but that’s going to kill the value of that car sadly! The mileage haircut it had might also put people off, what’s the story with that? I’m just interested more than anything.
Mileage haircut or not it'll still have a good value just by being LY as long as it's an otherwise honest car. Harder to put a price on it though, maybe similar to a CAT N LY if such a thing exists. In all honesty I never found an answer for this! I wouldn't even know where to look for an answer... And to address your other comment - I have always held onto it in the hope that it was 'money in the bank'. Always hoping/expecting if the day came where I was going to need a couple of thousand pounds (much like my current situation where we are looking to move house so it would help contribute to solicitor fees etc) I could always sell it, or failing that I would once again find myself in a position whereby I would have the money to spend on it and use it again. I've been lucky enough my parents have a large enough garage I've been able to simply hold onto it.
Such a shame as I think the last one that sold went for mega money.Mileage haircut or not it'll still have a good value just by being LY as long as it's an otherwise honest car. Harder to put a price on it though, maybe similar to a CAT N LY if such a thing exists.
Looks like whoever this is (still active on PH) owned the car before it was clocked, seems likely whoever they sold it to, probably a garage because of the MOT being done when not due, clocked it.
Also had a fair few owners on here before you after doing a quick bit of sleuthing.
I totally agree. That’s a good spot, it’s probably the second best colour behind Racing Blue, but that’s going to kill the value of that car sadly!
I'll give you £2k fo it. 👍But by the looks of things I should have no trouble at least getting my money back for it? I paid 2k in 2015, someone out there would at least pay that despite the issues right? 😅😅
That didn't take long hahaI'll give you £2k fo it. 👍

Just so happens I've got a BG that needs some tlc, yours for the price of a clocked LY🤝. 😂Joking aside I am in the market for another project
2.01k from meThat didn't take long haha
To be honest that rust on the back arch needs some serious TLC and it’s likely to be in other places as well. With that mileage, I can’t see anybody wanting to spend that sort of money, to then go through the pain of restoring that. The colour is a big plus.Would £3.5k be about right to ask for mine?
Or is that too much/not enough?
Cheers buddy, I appreciate the honesty. To be honest that rust on the back arch needs some serious TLC and it’s likely to be in other places as well. With that mileage, I can’t see anybody wanting to spend that sort of money, to then go through the pain of restoring that. The colour is a big plus.
If I was buying it I’d be turning it into a track car. But commit to an advert and you’ll soon find out. Only my opinion for what it’s worth.
