I might so that Russ, seems a sensible option. I'm not interested in letting it go for a song that's for sure

I have a knackered 172 cup that doesn’t start (used to start until battery died but now doesn’t start even after charging battery). It is on 150k, has No turinis, has no MOT and rusty arches. Currently stuck on the drive as has not moved in nearly a year. Considering just sticking it on eBay at 99p start but was wondering what it is realistically worth? Interior is also in poor condition so not expecting a lot (if anything)

private reg would not be included

Okay this is a loaded one, bin man backed into my phase 1 couple weeks back and looks like their insurance is going to send an estimator/valuer to view the car and then pay out the value as it will be uneconomical to repair (they have to use genuine panels etc).

as such what do we think i should be asking for her?

Oddy Blue, 160k, pretty much full service history, low owners, complete, pretty original, no rust

5k ish?

Just for comparison, I think my Pearl Black Phase 1 is valued around £3.5k, on nearly 140k miles with decent service history but multiple owners. I think around £5k would be a fair price seeing as I've only seen around 2 or 3 oddessy blue phase 1's for sale in the past year, but they might only give you £4k due to the higher miles. There is that one on ebay for around £9k, so just point them in the direction of that and hope for a juicy payout.

Would you buy it back off the insurance if they do write it off?

I might be biased as I currently have 2 Ph1's 😂 I think in the rarer colours, with low mileage, low owners, no rust, recent belts etc. etc to the right person they have got to be worth 5-6k. The only thing you could mark yours down from that is the higher miles but knowing how well looked after it is and that a specialist looks after it you have got to be pushing to get 5k' ish from it I would have thought. You thinking buy back if they did? Could be a win win (y)

the payout will include just giving the car back as well by sounds of it.

yeah only thing counting against it in valuers eyes will be mileage, but technically it's under average for the year.....

will be pulling up all the high price for sale examples and showing the extensive history off as well

i have the estimator over week today

Do you argue directly with their insurance company over the vehicle value?

Aren't your insurance company involved at all?

appears to be completely with theirs, it looks like it's not vehicular insurance at all but asset, same if they smashed my wall down, so should also keep the car off any sort of register too which would be doubly ideal

Might be selling my 182 next year sometime to fund a house purchase.

Cooksport Springs on standard Dampers
RS Tuner-mapped
KTEC Decat Exhaust (cat also inc with sale)
Ramair induction Kit
Whiteline ARB
BMS Shifter
PMS Strut Brace
PMS solid top mounts
PMS Stud and nut kit
MTEC Hub-centric 15mm Front Spacers
Near immaculate Speedline Turini’s with Michelin PS3s which have a 5mm+ tread
Genuine carbon side badges and headlight washer blanks.
Corbeau Clubsports
Rear seats removed and floor carpet in place
Turn1 Steering Wheel
Sony Bluetooth Stereo
Rockford Fosgate front speakers

It drives and handles absolutely brilliantly, I'm pretty certain the first person who drives it will buy it.
142,000 miles.
Arches immaculate. Some light bubbling by the fuel cap. Bodywork has a few scratches and marks but straight and true. Silver hides them pretty well.

What's it worth?
It'll be due belts later this year. I'm thinking £2.5k without belts, maybe push to £3.5k with Belts at Diamond Motors, recent service and MOT?

Honestly you'd probably make more money by selling off all the nice bits on it and returning it to stock. With the belts done you could get around 2.7k to 3k, and then selling off the bucket seats, shifter and other parts would probably make you a decent amount to go along side the car sale.

If you do plan to sell it as is next year, I'd be interested in buying it.

I'd potentially be interested in this at £2.5k depending on when you'd like to sell it, and my situation at the time. I've been thinking recently about getting another car, but not sure if to get another Clio, or something rwd/convertible.

Don't suppose the Clubsports are XL?

I did consider that but I unfortunately have none of those standard parts and really can't be bothered sourcing them and swapping them!

They're the narrow size I'm afraid mate. I'll definitely market it on here before resorting to eBay and then facebook.

Not the end of the world for me, I'd probably replace at least the drivers seat anyway. But in reality only need one seat in the car, as the misses hates them, and the kids are too young to sit in a bucket seat just yet. Part of the attraction of getting something like this to be honest.

Fair point. Since they were discontinued finding them for a reasonable price is actually quite difficult, you wouldn't have trouble selling them for a lot more than they were new. Shame.

So here I am again getting the itch for something else not long after owning for a year and rebuilding. What do we think? Boosted forged lump, carbon everywhere, yozza… couple marks here an there but nothing major… stacks of history and a fresh mot…

Thinking of whacking this up on Collecting Cars so looking to see where I should be setting my reserve.

Selling as I have pretty much lost interest with other projects going on, was off the road for a while, got it MOTed and the love hasn’t rushed back so time to move it on.

I did what you’re not meant to do and modified a trophy 🤣 but she was never going to be a showroom model so may as well be as good as it can be on the road right? 🤣

I dunno what you’d get for it, but I’d buy it. Decent car with a few tweaks and a lot of miles.. fine by me

Hi,

It's quite likely I'll be advertising this for sale later this week, I wanted to get an idea of what you think it's worth before I list it, I had an idea in mind but the market seems all over the place.

If it helps with the values, the car will be picked up tomorrow from AW - Timing Belt, Dephaser and Water Pump all just done with a fresh MOT & Service.

I've not finished the spec list yet, but will post more details if required.

What's a good set of recaros worth these days, got a mint full leather set with the F1 bases with all the relevant Renault stickers underneath. Were destined for my Supra, but going with standard instead now.

They fetch about £1k if you have Clio seat frames, a touch more on lower bases. Sadly as touch less on the standard Megane bases.

Going to put them on eBay auction! Let the world decide what they want to pay, standard supra interior was £450 so anything above that is happy days really.

I'm pretty sure some sold for 1200 recently, and yours look to be in better condition. Did you buy them or did they come with a car?

Came with the car with custom bases, but they bases are made to sit under the Meggy bases and the top of the seat is in the roof lining, need to be 4ft to sit in them! I could have some more bases made but being honest, I don't want too 😅

Chucked em up, going to post them in the eBay section here too incase anyone isn't an eBay frequenter on here and wants to make an offer.

Cancelled this auction? Was looking forward to the last minute bidding war even though I don't need them haha

Not a car but some alloys I've managed to obtain.

18" Players 902, can't see any for sale in the UK.

Any ideas...
