***How much is it worth?***

Yes, it was Facebook. I had a lot of interest but even still people wanted the world for £2500.

I guess it was a bit too cheap but I didn’t want to mess around for weeks waiting plus having it a few years it didn’t cost me a lot to buy then.
Sorry mate, I really wasn't trying to take away from the sale at all. I think if you are happy thats all that counts!

I am asking so many questions because mine will be going up for sale this year some time and although I don't expect to get back anywhere near what I've spent on it, it would be nice to not completely lose my arse!

Good line of thought, I'm not disagreeing particularly btw was more interested in your line of though.

And yes I fully agree with that too with the caveat that it does make above average cars stand out well imo. I don't think its unreasonable to ask reasonable money for something good.

I bought my RB in 2021 and paid £5,400 for it. The lad had it up for £6,000 and never got an enquiry. The condition wasn't anywhere near as good as he said it was. But it was far better than everything else I'd seen for the same money. Plus it had potential and the right history.

He still thinks i nicked it, but he's a feckin idiot haha. He got lucky!

I've subsequently spent another £2,500 on it and it's near perfect.

I know when I come to sell it, providing the asking price is right, the first viewer will think it's a new car. You can stand 1 inch away from every panel and not see a mark or a ripple. You can lay on your back staring at the underneath and salivate haha.

But that's just how I like my cars to be. But I wouldn't expect somebody to give me all my money back.

I've driven hundreds of miles to look at minters only to find scrap. And that's the problem, the market is full of overpriced sheds. The good cars rarely come up for sale, but when they do, you know they'll stand up to any scrutiny. Russ Hopkins recent 182 sale is a perfect example.

Will check out your thread. Drop me a PM if you are thinking of selling (may have been a joke)

:)
I need a track-going version of it that's more road-friendly. Something I don't have to trailer around and can drive to my local circuit. That's what I'm missing the most, circuit days. I haven't the heart to tear the RB apart. It's too good for that.

I'm still convinced that even though they're not £1000 cars anymore and have risen a fair bit, give it a few more years when the ropey mk2s all die and the survivors will be worth double their current prices.

No doubt at all.

I go to a lot of classic shows now and see a lot of cars I had back in the day that were once cheap and pretty common that draw the crowds.

One ‘problem’ the Clio has is it’s almost too good and reliable, I say ‘problem’ in relation to the fact there’ll be a lot more survivors than say a 205 GTI, R5 GTT or Xr2.

I’ve always wanted a nice racing blue 182, maybe once I’ve got over the 200 thing I’ll sell that and get one and keep it for future shows with my lad. At the moment my impreza is doing that job though and filling the garage!

So the 182 I’m looking at, ive had the code reader on the fuel trim is 99% and the front o2 is intermittently kind of work, kind of not. I suspect that’s the issue with the running problem, you can smell the fuel.

What do we think it’s worth?

Morning all. Clio 182 in black gold for sale, located just east of York.

Moving house and no room for a 3rd car. Im also no mechanic and it’s proving a little too hands on for me!

Currently at just under 83k miles.

Comes with original factory fit sat nav which is pretty rare.

Snappy steering wheel so looks fresh.

Turini wheels from the cup model. Front tyres brand new but rears are low and advisory on last mot. Alloys themselves would benefit from a refresh refurb.

Good service history.

Recent work in my ownership since sept 22 -

1) new alternator
2) aux kit (original Renault parts)
3) new water pump (original Renault parts)
4) new ngk spark plugs
5) new magneti injectors
6) new thermostat and gasket (original Renault parts)
7) new o2 sensor
8 new battery
9 New front tyres, as mentioned above
10 Purchased 2 original Renault top mounts as one side was an advisory on last MOT but not had chance to have them replaced. Happy to include with car.

Previous owner (for 6/7 years) was a mechanic himself. dephaser and belts changed by him aug 21 approx 3k miles ago. Receipt for parts to hand. Prior to that done in 2016.

Pretty standard overall with some subtle changes over the years -

1) scorpion exhaust system with miltek back box. not a particular loud one as car was used by previous owner as a daily.

2 eibach springs.

3 Turuni alloys from the cup which in my option look much better than than standard 182 wheels.

Bad bits -

No MOT so would need trailering away. Purchased in sept 22 and hardly done any miles over winter as it was planned as being weekend car for summer.

Hesitates occasionally around 2k revs. Only for a couple of seconds then ok again. Fault machine showing its running quite rich on fuel whilst idling. Could be 02 sensor as that’s showing fault code too but mechanic recommending going down sport cat route. Eml light was on when last driven.

Scuff on the passenger side and damage to door and frame as seen in pictures. Dint guy said it should pull out but need some TLC none the less.

Can't give you a good guide on price, but I've always wanted a sat nav car as silly as that is. So useless and I Iove it.
Looks well kept too apart from the marker pen spec 2.0 16v bullets.

Wow I’m shocked. I thought you had plans for this one. But off the top of my head, given the low mileage but work that needs doing I’d say £2,500.

As you know mine went for £2,000 due to needing belts, but it was a really well sorted car, despite higher mileage. My 2 cents worth.

Edit - Maybe being a bit hard they’re so closer to £3,000. Sell it to me for £2,000 and I’ll spend another £4,000 and turn it into another track monster 😂

Anyone have any idea on the value of these seats? They were in my clio when I bought it and was told they were out of an Astra GSI but can't seem to find them anywhere? They are in near mint condition!

Just curious what my 182 cup is worth, not that I'm planning to sell it as I'm loving it to bits.

2005 182 Cup titanium silver.
62k.
Bought it from my mate 10months ago who's owned it from new, still got original invoice.
Just had belts & service with Mick at Diamond. Dephaser was borderline so that got replaced at the same time.
Spent £2k on it in the last month or two.
Full safety devices cage.
Rebuilt box with Quaife LSD.
Yozzasport exhaust.
Carbon fibre bonnet (not wrap).
Just put it back on freshly powder coated 182 wheels with NS2R's.

Booked Anglesey Clio Festival for it in August.

What do we think this is worth.

12/62 Clio 200 in white.
2 Owners with FSH but due belts.
22,000 miles.
Doesn’t have recaros.

jameswrx

I’d imagine it’s be worth a fair amount when serviced.

22k miles is crazy low, sure any of these RS dealers would want £10k plus for that.

What do you reckon my 182 is worth?

150,000 miles (will rise)
Good service history with last major service including oil, spark plugs, gearbox oil, brake fluid at 143,000 miles. Stacks of receipts.
MOT January 2024
Milltek cat-back exhaust and sports cat
Brembo discs and PBS pro race pads
JMRS induction kit
Evol dog-bone mount
New Avon ZV7 tyres at 143k
Wheels need refurbing
A few odd marks but nothing major. Bodywork and paint probably 8/10.
Cambelt/dephaser done at 119k in September 2018 and aux belt in June 2021, so both due shortly.

It's a bit of a weird one as it's a French-spec car, so no anthracite wheels, but it does have the cup suspension, apparently! https://cliosport.net/threads/morning-all.634329/

Depends on the 8/10 ref bodywork and rust really.

If it stood £3k ish with belts be a good car, imo.

Been out the pricing for a while but that may all change v.soon :)

So need a bit of guidance on pricing for my Petrol Blue.

It's a great car, brilliant fun to drive, comfy on the road and great on track with lsd, Rs2 intake, brembos and recaro sportster cs seats, but someone told me not to be a fanny and just use my M140i for everything (@Touring_Rob) so that's what I'm going to do.

It will come with lots of spare parts, original interior and engine parts and three sets of wheels (ps3, winters and semi slicks).

It is also on 109.200 miles and due belts and needs paint on one door and front lip of the bonnet is starting to show rust bubbles.

Also have a set of 197 cams ready to go in.

How much would it be worth as is?

Or would I be best to get the paintwork and belts sorted (probably without cams then) and sell it for a higher price?

I feel like most will be afraid of having to paint a PB, so I’d be tempted to get that sorted first and forget the cams.
No idea on pricing though, when did the last PB sell?

But it was the lowest mileage and totally standard non cup example.

I’ve found a JC5-107 lurking in the garage that I bought a couple of years back to fit to the 182 turbo. It’s a diesel box of some flavour so has longer ratios. It’s got 68k miles (although no proof!) but I’ll never get round to fitting it. It’s still sealed with the driveshafts. The guy I bought it from had it as an ornament in his garage for 8 years having bought it and never fitted it and I’ve done the same. Any ideas on what I should list it for?

Hello everyone,

I am a new member so please bare with me, i have a 55 plate rb clio 182 on 149000 miles, its a lovely car with a clean shell apart from a couple of bubble spots around the rivets in the fuel filler cap.

Its a lovely *standard car.. apart from a decat miltek exhaust with the manifold flange altered at an exhaust specialists, it has powerflex exhaust mounts, engine mount and dogbone mount, its had a brand new clutch and a gearbox rebuild in Novermber 2022 with new 3rd and 4th syncros.

The car has full service history, but a lot recently has been done by previous owners, so its in the service book to keep note of, but no garage stamps in recent years but there are receipts.

The car has had all belt changes done by mick at diamond motors since new, the most recent one is booked in and getting done this month.

Its got speedline turinis that were brand new a couple of years a go, but the nearside two are curbed on the outer rim which are not bad, they have four khumo tyres which are almost brand new.

The car got an efi map with Chris a few years back and made183hp with printout, new thumb grips, mechanically sound, new ktec front splitter not the cheap fabia one, brand new eibach sportline springs which have done approx 100 miles with receipt, drives and looks beautiful.

Cheers.

Hi, any more details on the map?

  Clio 182
Hello,

Need some help pricing this...

Clio 182 Arctic Blue 135338 miles. MOT until 27th August.

Selling due to having a work van and it not getting driven much.

It was last serviced in April. There are some gaps in its service history however I have a folder of receipts of things that have been done to it.

The cam belt and aux belt were last done in 2016 therefore is due for replacement.

Cosmetically it is showing its age, front and back bumper have some marks as well as some other small dings around the car. The offside rear arch has been rust repaired before however is starting to go again, as you can probably tell from the photos the blues do not match where the fix was attempted as it was put on as temporary measure. The wheels are speedline turinis with michelin pilot sport 3s all round, the wheels definitely need a refurb but the tyres still have a good amount of tread on them.

Interior wise its fairly tidy, some rattles when driving. It has a after market Bluetooth stereo in it as well as a small sub in the boot. The steering wheel was retrimmed a few years ago and still looking good. It has retro fitted Recaro trendline seats from a Megane sitting on lower than OEM subframes made by someone on the cliosport forum, overall they are in ok condition aside from the wear/cracking to the driver side bolster.
