What do we all think my Turbo 182 is worth? It's done about 108k on the shell, 6 former owners (I think) but the the spec is pretty tasty.

  • Refreshed gearbox with Quaife LSD & Megane 5th gear
  • Powder coated and polybushed front subframe with strengthened arms
  • Engine-Dyanmic turbo kit with a chinese gt28 (which was stripped by turbo specialist and modified slightly to be efficient and reliable)
  • Sabelt alcantara steering wheel with carbon panels and six buttons
  • Speedline 2118 wheels in grey just refurbished with fresh stickers and ceramic coated
  • GAZ gold coilovers with powerflex black series top mount bushes
  • Scorpion exhaust
  • All new grey water pipes
  • KTEC solid engine mounts
  • Cat cams larger exhaust valves with head ported
  • Ported and polished manifold
  • CM Composites front splitter
There is probably missed parts in all fairness. It's been an on-going project for 2 years now, but is taking up space in my workshop and need the money freed up as we're expanding the business to offer MOT's. Most parts are brand new. I'm going to be listing it for sale in the new year as hoping to get it finished in the next few weeks finally!

It's worth less than the insurance on the m135...jokes

As a guide, Ive recently paid 7k for a ST2 on 100k with impeccable service history
Didn't want to fork out the extra for the m135...so booked in to Collins performance next week instead. Seemed a logical compromise!

Debating selling my 197, bought from a friend so not sure what it’s really worth?

2008 Renault Sport Clio 197
Approx 121,000 Miles with partial service history.
MOT expires 17/08/24.
Belts done at 116k (04/23) with evidence, at the same time both engine torque mounts were replaced.
Replacement clutch and a reconditioned gearbox from Danny Mays at Custom Production fitted by previous owner. It has a resonated scorpion exhaust with unknown manifold, rear Strut brace from SW Motorsports and what seems to be a genuine Cup spoiler with carbon replica end plates.
The wheels have been professionally refurbished and have Yokohama AD08R tyres with adequate tread.
Body work is pretty rough, there are scuffs and scraps on the boot, rear quarter, and front bumper, mirror caps have lacquer peel and a big patch of lacquer peel under the petrol cap, interior is in generally good condition, with a few bits of plastic look tired, steering wheel is heavily worn on top, and gear knob was replaced with an eBay special

Thinking of selling my 1 owner Clio 172 Cup, what do we think it’s worth?

1 owner from new
91k miles
Full Service History
Original bill of sale and sales brochure
Original splitter still present (small crack)
2 x keys
Only modifications are a smaller steering wheel (still have the original), phase 1 gear knob (still have the original), fatty induction kit (still have the original air box), a ktec exhaust, and some Eibach springs as part of a suspension refurb which included OEM shocks…

It does however require some paintwork due to lacquer peeling on various panels.

I took it off the road about 18 months ago where it’s been stored indoors, as I wanted to keep it rust free…..

These are nailed on future classics, and I’m reluctant to let it go, but could be a great project for an enthusiast who is willing to put in the time and effort and can see the potential.

What do we think it’s worth?

Cheers

Hi,
I took my RB Clio off the road to do the steering rack and underseal which has been done and then I did arches and some paint and it snowballed, I do have a project thread. I have a progressive illness and am just not well enough to keep going with it in reality and it’s just standing there. It’s been stood now for 3 or 4 years, still runs but lights are now on, the abs and traction control and service, all probably because it’s been stood for so long.

It has a ktec exhaust and induction kit, and has an original cat, 103k miles, no rust. Has done very few miles since belts and dephaser was done but time was belts are probably due by now. I do have all the receipts I can check.

I’m not in a rush to move it as it’s on a private drive and will need to be trailered away but I don’t really want a hassle to sell it so just want it gone and not to worry about it anymore. This obviously means splitting it is not an option.

Am I dreanihg thinking £800-900?
I have a near mint interior to go in it too if wanted or can go separately.

Sorry to hear about the illness mate.
I don't know much about the car but I'd be doubling that price tbh. £800 is basically giving it away!!

Sorry to hear about your illness buddy.
Just for reference, I sold my RB in June 2023 for £3k.
It had about 150k miles on it, a weeks worth of mot and some bodywork/rust issues creeping in.
Far from perfect, but a perfectly usable daily.
The car had a few decent mods/upgrades and the belts all done etc.

I’d have thought your car even with the issues should be worth at least £2k and with the issues fixed north of £3k (in my head anyway, others on here will know better valuation wise).

Good luck and all the best 💚

I agree with Kev, £2k minimum as RB is very sought after these days and yours with another £2k in maintenance would be a solid car by the sounds of it. Certainly letting it go for £800 would be silly.

£900 is madness. I gave my BG with 133k away for £2,000 because the belts needed doing and could have sold it 10 times over. It was a very good car in great condition. It was sold on shortly after with the belts done for over 4k. Lesson learned. Don’t be that guy.

Hopefully he didn't get too much of a bargain?
I paid considerably more than the asking price.

Seller was 100% honest in the description and I was 100% fair with my price. I’ve never ripped anyone off in the 20 years I’ve been doing this and I don’t intend to start now.

(I couldn’t resist taking it round the block despite it being nowhere near roadworthy, my god I forgot how much I love these things!)

Wasn't inlplying you'd pay anything other than a fair price and I suspect this one may end up bouncing around the forum members over the next few owners like ones before have done. 👍

Hi

Considering selling my LY 182 clio and was wondering what sort of price I’d be looking at.

Just under 88k miles
Extensive service history but not full as there was a year or two missed along the way
Belts done roughly 2 years ago (been driven about 4k miles since)
Paintwork in overall good condition for age but bonnet does require attention due to bubbling
Comes with Turinis which have little marks/chips from taking wheels on/off but no kerbing

Are you still thinking of selling? A mate is after one as a bit of project to resurrect one

Thers one on Facebook for just under £10k. That's after a price drop so I'd say less than that. If it's not pristine then maybe £6kish? The LY tax only goes so far.

Potentially thinking of selling my 197 as my partner doesn't love it like she did the R26 and I'd prefer something better for long distance drives. Just wondering if you guys think £3500 sounds about right, or is that a little too low?

Here's the spec:

2007 RenaultSport Clio 197 in Nimbus Grey
97k miles
Completely standard apart from a ToyoSport Manifold and Eibach Proline Springs
In the last 6 months I've fully refreshed all the suspension with new shocks, springs, outer & inner tie rods, lower arms, top mounts, new brake lines, new rear discs and pads
Last september I also did the timing belt, water pump, aux belt etc

Only downsides in my opinion are that all the wheels need a refurb at some point, and there's a tiny bit of bubbling under the rear window which all Mk3's seem to suffer from.

Would be interested to see if that seems a fair price?

  172 cup
I’m losing my storage space for my cup and with lack of use I'm thinking of selling. Tried to keep the car close to OEM with the exception of Ktec stealth exhaust, xenon headlights, non OEM catalytic converter and Eibach Sportline springs. I have the original lights, OEM cup springs and cat to go with the car. Also have the original front splitter which is in two pieces, not currently on the car.

I’ve owned since Dec 2020 and only done about 2000 mile over the last 3 years, dry stored and only brought out in the drier months. In the past this car has been dry stored between 2012 and 2015.

Summary:

70K miles, mot due Jul 2024

Cambelt / Aux / dephaser / water pump etc done by Diamond Motors in Jan 2021

In my ownership I’ve refreshed the suspension front and rear, including bushes and cup lower arms. I’ve got the original cup springs which look in really good condition with minimum rust.

I’ve also done small jobs like changing the bonnet latch, battery change amongst the few that come to mind. As well as and maintenance jobs including air filter and oil filter, engine oil and coolant fluids refresh. Lots of receipts from RPD etc to back this up. Pics are from September but not a lot has changed apart from Eibach springs.

Appreciate a pointer on price please...
