Hey there! My first post here! I basically just passed my driving test a week back and fitted some nice 17s on my clio 1.4. (hoping to get clio sport in future.) It is riding pretty high now tho so was thinking of getting it lowered. Anyone know by how much? I do not have a kit on it or anything, so id like it to be noticeably low for now but at the same time not to low that im doing dmg to rims or the suspension when going over bumps etc. If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

What clio do you have?? MK2 Phase1 or Phase 2?? if you dont know get some photos up!
How do you want it looking?? Tyre in the arch or tyre below the arch??
Heres my old Mk2 Phase 1: On 16's Lowered -35mm on Spax full kit.
Heres my Mk2 Phase 2: On 17's Lowered -60mm on Apex full kit.

Im on 16's and lowered mine 30mm on Eibachs. Here's mine.
Ill get some pics up tongiht i want it looking just like the two posted above tho. Like the look of that second black car above lowered 60 mm. Im just really confused as to why the garage would tell me to lower it only 30mm. Also on picture above it looks pretty low adn thats only 30mm and n 16s lol... a a aaaaa help!!!!

If its a phase 1 i was told not to lower it more than 35mm because of the brake bias sencer on the rear torchon beam. (IF THE CAR DOES NOT HAS ABS) because when you go around corners the car thinks that there is weight in the back and the appilys more braking power to the rear wheels that then locks them up because there is on one in the back on the car if you get me.
thats why i only lowered my phase 1 -35mm. my phase 2 has abs and i have lowered it -60!
Get some pictures up of your car then we will be able to tell you what phase it is!

ye thats exactly wat im looking for on my clio with my 17s ^^ something that low... my car only has two springs on the front wheels none at the back wat mm was that and how much will it cost me roughly

ive got fk coilovers on.
My front front bumper had to come off to go on the RR because it was too low.
sometimes too low aint good. I cant even drive into underground shopping car parks. lol dont get me started on humps.... but the low look is a great look

just hope they fit etc ok and dont rub or have problems over speed bumps. Should be ok caus ei dont have a body kit.

kool, will look nice and low!! so its a MK2 phase1 then mate!
The ride will be bouncy because ur not upgrading your socks to work with the springs but its all good! It will roll more when turning corners to but not as much as atm. Full Kits best in IMO, Then collies!!!!!
You have springs at the rear two then, they are not with the dampers they are situated behind them seperatly!!
