How much power loss?

Does anyone know exactly what %(percentage) of power/torque is lost through the standard drivetrain on the cliosport 172? ie - from engine to wheels? and does the percentage lost remain the same when the power is increased etc?

Eg - 20% loss in a 200hp(at the engine) would be 160hp at the wheels
Same car (drivetrain anyway) with 400hp(engine) should theoretically be 320hp (atw), IS THIS CORRECT?

it varys between rolling roads mate

i don't think there's an EXACT figure, just an "about" figure

Its not a fixed % IMHO as there are too many variables.

its a % to work from but as fred and stu said there isn't an exact %, plus all rolling roads vary.

A good guide is to deduct 10% of the flywheel figure plus another 10 bhp for FWD

As said, will vary a lot. Just compare AVA with Nobles for example. But for a rough guide the above statement is as good as you'll get imo.

yup as above, and there isnt a percentage loss on torque....only power
