how much to change cambelt in a 1.2 16V?

Anyone had the cam belt and aux belt changed on their 1.2 16V recently?

Phoned the Renault garage and was quoted £250 but the local garage said it would be about £90. Sounds a bit cheap to me, why the big diff?

Mine is 6 years old now so need to get it changed sharpish :S

90 seems fine. isnt that difficult a job on the 1.2

My 1.2 8v was £126 (sound right?)

Went down as timing belt on the receipt (is that right?)

yep that sounds about right.

timing belt/cambelt same thing.

id just make sure the garage uses a genuine renault cambelt kit
