How much to check if timing is out and/or check my map?

Has anyone got a rough idea how much one of the specialists on here would charge to check if the timing is out on my 182? Also, is it possible to plug in and check what map I have? When warmed up it doesn't want to rev past 6500 despite being remapped at Ktec by the previous owner (who is a good friend of mine!)

If its been remapped by ktec, ask them about the map.

You might find its not REALLY warmed up though, they move to the centre of the gauge before they click over to the hot limiter.

It's usually an hours labour charge + the seals. The not revving will be an issue, not usually with map but the map can be checked to see what's been adapted.

Surely after an hour it should be warmed up though?!
I have a few odd bits to get done at 519 later this year, so might just start compiling some jobs before contacting Dan.

The reason I mentioned timing is because it feels down on power when compared to other ones I've driven/been passenger in.

It SHOULD be warmed up after a couple of minutes yes, but if the thermostat is knackered for example it might not ever be even if you drive it normally for an hour.

Yeh thermostat is another thing on the list to be checked/done...!

  Clio.
Might be worth getting it plugged in to Renault clip machine.
Once warmed up (fan cutting in) read the parameters of the manifold pressure, it should be around 380 mbar at idle for a correctly timed/good condition engine, no parts needed to replace.
