im after gettin a 172, if poss around 40,000 on clock, just as standard, how much would i be lookin to pay? dont mind what year, and can anyone suggest a good insurer for young drivers?

for a phase 1 172 think it would be around £5,000 for one.

adrian flux are good for young drivers. you'll get a mk1 172 for about £4k -5k

Think the chap's after a Mk 2 judging by the car mentioned under the user name. Should pick up a 51/02 Mk2 for 6k with that sort of mileage in a private sale. Shop around for insurance but prepare to be shafted if you're under 21.
