About to go tape up the Shed, EGP refuses to shift still !!!


I have various polishes, but only one 3M yellow pad to hand, as DPD wont be delivering my order till 7pm this eve. Always wanted to try Lime prime and ive got some from a friend to try.

Im only contending with light swirling, car is only 6 months old. Worst defect is on the bonnet, i wouldnt call it a RDS - but it looks as though it might need power finish. Im using G220 also.

Not in the slightest.

Won't remove anything. You've not really got anything "Appropriate" You really need IP then limeprime or equiv.

I'd never use 3M products on a DA. Fcuk that! Simply can't break the polish down well enough!

I'd go final finish for a couple of hits, then hand apply LP.

LP on Porsche C4S via rotary removed 90% of marks.

Via DA, I wouldn't think it would do a lot.

Via Rotary it will cut Renault+ paint easily. Used it on Th'Audi as a finishing product, but that's different.

Well im avoiding rotary with it being renault. I know what DA is capable of (Or rarther what it isnt) and ive gone through MK2 PH2 clios with Power finish with ease before.

IP's too dusty on it's own. If you are going to use it, i'd use a drop of Ultra fina in there aswell.

Lime prime lite will not correct but lime prime will as it contain micro abrasives,

good thing about it is you can use lsp straight after it too

Christ i really havent been able to get on with the 3M pad today for some reason. Not keep on lime prime, power finish seems to be less abrasive than i used to know, nothing i have right now works well.

I ordered some new pads and stuff but i have to wait till 7pm for the delviery guy to get here FFS.

Lime Prime does just fine via DA, they do go past speed 2 you know

Of course, depends on the paint. It's all you need on Honda's.
