How safe are bucket seats

Hold on if its so wrong to have bucket syle seats in your car how come you see them day in day out in scoobs, civic type rs?

I know theyre not true buckets as they have to give access to the rear seats but they look like they are..

What would you call those kind of seats then? as thats what i want in the front of mine.

sport seats now with wings

or race style seats or something to that affect
but they are simply either bucket (fixed back) or recliners nowt more

^^^ ahhh...

Can you use buckets with just normal belts then? is there any advantage to that?
