how to adjust handbreak?

im getting my wifes first car a clio 1.4rt on a m plate ready for its mot sorted the other probs ie track rod end and steering rack uj and gator last thing is the heandbreak it works but is upto 9 clicks how do you adjust them and if i need to remove the drums hom do i get them off ive never worked on drums haveing owned cars with disks all round
