how to brake air con

where you at mate as i'm an air con engineer and do cars aswell whats wrong with it and what years your car??

do you aslo no what refrigerant the systems running as if its old and run's on r12 its illegal to fix it and it'd have to be dicomisssioned or retro fitted mega bucks mate

you could find the tev expansion device near the bulk head and losen that off and take the o ring out that'll f**k it mate.

yes, but as posted above they leak test it.

car air con will always lose the refrigerant over time because of the vibrations throw the car, engine, etc.
if its left un-used throw winter the seals dry up and let buy, thats why they always tell you to run the air con in the winter at least once.
as forletting all the refrigerant out (gas) where the connectors go if you take the black caps off (they look like tyre valves) and depress the srader valve with a screwdriver this will let it go. also it would be better to do this on the smaller pipe as this is the high side of the system under more pressure you'll get a fluescent dye come out with it so don't be to alarmed.

i doubt it, it would be a waste. i would expect them to just put high pressure air in.

yer but they pressure test with nitrogen not the refrigerant

whats in the system know its not a fully fledged air con system, is it full of R135a then i assume, as anything else would of been banned under the montreal protocol.
