How to change thermostat on Clio k4j engine?

I have already seen the guide for how to change the thermostat on a 1.2 however the housing on mine looks completely different, pictured below. Any body got any idea how to remove the thermostat on this?

that may work for clarkson on tv but not always in reality, ive got it off now. Does any one know where to buy the new plastic housing with thermostat from? or the metal type with thermostat separate?

the stat isn't part of the housing on these. There are 3 bolts on the part just behind that bracket in the front of your picture, on the first section after the top hose connection. the thermostat is inside that part. (exactly the same fitment as a 172/182)

I believe that's the case on some models but on mine it doesn't. The housing is one whole piece and the stat is built into it all which is a pain.

Thats the sealed moulded unit Dan as per the bloody rubbish scenics and some Laguna II. The one you're thinking of has a metal body and plastic stat house.

Why they changed it I have no idea, its a pain to have to change the whole housing and even to source it.
