How to check cambelt is correct.

Having recently had my cambelt changed a friend has a 182 and feels his isnt as quick as my 172, so basically he had a cambelt changed about 9months ago, is there any way of checking if his timings out. or is it easier to find another 182 the same spec and compare the 2.

Ok so you mean get the cam locking tools and see if the bolt straight into place if not then the belts out, how long would this take to check ???

doing it properly with the pin and the cam tool with take about 1/2 hour
