How to confirm what model 182

Hi All,

I'm looking at buying a 182, other than the obvious (wheels, splitter, interior and spoiler) how can I tell what model 182 i'm looking at. Seems to be a lot of 182's with bits added to look like they have the cup packs, any other ways like chassis numbers? I know on the 225's the chassis numbers started differently for the various models i.e. CMOM/BMOM

Any help would be great,

Loads of info on here mate but the basics....

182 Cups only come in Racing Blue and Inferno. They have cloth interior and no xenons or climate control. They also have washer blanks on the front bumper.

Standard 182s have all the above and can have none, 1 or both of the cup packs.

Suspension Cup pack - Anthracite Wheels and different hub bolt spacing at the front.
Spoiler pack - Cup spoiler and splitter.

No way to tell what the car came from the factory with unless you have the original sales receipt.

So a full fat 182 with no cup packs and a sneaky wheel refurb in anthracite will be difficult to spot over one with the actual cup pack?

Bloody hell, need quite a bit of trust in the seller and the history of the car then.

There's no such thing.

FF = Both cup packs

They are pretty easy to tell apart, get a photo up on here and we'll be able to tell you what options it has on it

Many thanks, I understand the slight differences with the models but just a little concerned that I could be fobbed off with a 182 that has the anthracite wheels but not the actual important bits that make it handle better.

Even if it did have anthracite wheels, you could still tell if it has standard suspension (ie. non-cup)

Gotcha, how's that then, different colour springs or some logos on them?

The hub spacings are different if its cupped.

Any simple way of telling this guys? I'm going to look at one tomorrow and would like to confirm this b4 handing over any cash.

The only way is to measure it chap.

182s without the suspension pack sit a bit higher than standard ones, that's about the easiest way to tell. Even then you'll still need to know how a cup packed one sits.

They are not noticeably higher unless you have two parked side by side which if your going to look at a car its unlikely.
Only way as said is to measure, put the wheel on full lock right or left.. easiest way.

the difference in ride height is like 3mm lol
buy a cup then you can be sure...btw mine is for sale!!
