I used the connect 2 kit from MT Audio on here, depending on which gen ipod you get you may also need the converter if you want it to be charged when you use it

As per this ^^^ person. If you have 4th Gen Nano or newer, you will need a 5v converter rather than the 12v that is on the connection (another approx £15 if you want to charge it). It will still play through your standard CD player, it just connects to your multidisk changer socket on the standard system and takes about 15 mins (if you take your time) to fit. :)

I've got one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CTARNUSB003-R...248?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2308b44128 (didn't pay that much though!)

Can't recommend them enough. I don't use an ipod, but if you do you can still scroll through 6 playlists (using you 6 cd changer buttons on the standard stereo) on an ipod, but also has AUX input (3.5), SD and USB. I use a 8gb USB pen with loads of songs on it, you can scroll through etc and just play the music on the USB pen (set into 6 folders).
It plugs into the CD changer port in the back of the stereo, and as I use a USB pen I don't need to charge - but can check with my ipod if you want...

I also prefer this as I don't worry about leaving my ipod in the car, potentially a theft risk...

sI can recommend the Dension Kit (google it!), just fitted it to mine, very good! The optional cradle fits the iphone 3 and 4 (and charges both) as well as most of the iPod range. If you have sat nave on your ipod/iphone, it fires that through the speakers too, it also has a slot to accommodate a USB device (hard drive/pen drive etc).

Oh, and the cradles have the same speckled effect in the plastic as the dash, so looks almost OE when fitted.

If hes referring to gateway editions add a 0 to the price of the aux lead, its all about what features you want. Just audio, control of it all from the stereo/stalks or even charging. Charging is available for just the aux in version also but this requires hardwiring

Hello a question to jsr26

can i still use the controls of the factory car stereo/steering wheel, volume, change tracks, fast forward, playlists etc?

where did you installed, under the drivers seat or did you had to remove the radio and installed behind the radio?

can you see the track numbers and names on the "console" (sorry don't know the name of that where you can see the time and temperature)?

there is a note on their website saying "interface is designed to replace the existing manufacturer fitted CD changer. If you do not have a CD changer fitted, you may need to ask your vehicle manufacturer to activate the port for you. Your manufacturer may charge you for this." did you had this problem?

thanks in advance
cheers from portugal
