How to remove a rear drum ??

How do you do it ? as my rear driver side locks up, so car is not moveable at the moment,

had a few suggestion from people at work what it might be like:

- whack the sides with a rubber hammer,
- remove the centre plate which should have a rubber seal,

Is that the only way or is there a prope way of gettin it off, ??

remove the wheel

remove the cap in the center of the drum

get the drum off err can take some effort to pul it off a slid hammer does wonders otherwsie it takes some tiem depending how much is in there.
