How to remove mirror caps on a 182?

As above please, is there a simple way to remove them, i have had a look and they dont budge.

Im thinking of spraying them as thay have a few stonechips on them.

The clips nearly always break, or at least one of them.

Or do it the proper way...

pop mirror glass out, access to the clips inside, pop mirror cap off job done

Piece of cake mate, fold the mirrors in youll see a little notch out and put a small flat ended screwdriver and gently pull towards you, i did mine today andcarbon wrapped them.

i managed to get mine off just by pulling and the clips didn't break :S
