how to remove the Side strips?

how do i remove these beasts and whats the best way. need to get them sprayed matalic blue as they are a matt blue pretty skank...

Open the door push the one on the rear panel towards the door and it unclips.
Then with the door open push the one on the door towards the rear and that will come off in the same fashion.
Dead easy really

yeah whats best way to take them off?

Theres only one way, the door cards have to come off and then you can disconnect the handle linkage to the lock and remove two securing bolts and they clip out. Not as bad as it sounds, took me about 20 minutes a side.
Hardest part is getting the door card off and thats easy enough.

is the 16v badge and the side strip all one? or do they come off speratly?

sliding them is supposed to work and it did for me. there is actually a lil retaining clip that can be accessed by removing a small plastic grommet on the back of the door (behind the strip) near the door catch. remove this and push the clip in while sliding and they should come off no problem.

The matt ones look pretty good TBH, be different!!

yeah but i cant polish them up! urgh its annoying me so bad! renault are skank. colour coded my arse should see my back bumper looks two tone! urghhhhhhhhh

You need some autogly bumper care or vinyl and rubber care then.

yeah i got that stuff its like a green gunk and man does it make a mess of the windows it you get it on. still dont get the shine i want....
