How to "short pin 1 and 5 on resistor pack"?

Hi all,

my heaters aren't blowing, I'm either driving with my head out the window due to steamy windows or im wiping them with a cloth. Not good.

I've read you can check its the resitor pack by shorting 1 and 5?

il be honest, i have no idea what this means or how to do it, can anyone help?

Nah, first thing that came to hand that wasn't thin stuff

Two male spade connectors and a lump of wire. Done

And just push it down the hole so it picks up the connection yea?

Yep, fan will be on full with the first turn of the key and ignition. I think it actually comes on faster than the normal fastest settings because its bloody loud and annoying!

Il try and get some wire and connectors from somewhere to make sure it is the res pack, cheers for the help

I didn't bother with the spade connectors , any wire should do , you will only run it for a second to confirm it works, here's my pic
