How to tell if I have matched inlets?

I purchased a set of matched inlets from DannyR and sold them on ebay at the weekend but when the guy came to collect he said they weren't matched.

How can I prove it?

from dannys trader page, if you look inside them they will look like that, also no rough edges etc

They'll be smooth and shiny inside. The guy is probably just trying to get one over on you. Or, he doesn't actually know what matched inlets are.

I had a set matched from a trader on here and it didn't go anywhere near as deep as those pictured on danny's pics. Maybe 3/4" deep from each side.

would depend what casting they were started on to some extent

also depends if the person doing the work actually knows what they're doing

They were off a 182 and the lower was RS stamped. As far as i'm aware, the trader sends them off to be done and not in house so I don't know who carried out the work, but considering the reputation they have built for themselves on this forum recently I have no reason to doubt them. just wish I'd had them done a little later so I could of used the people a little closer to home in the Cambs area.
