How well do f4r engines sell?

  Fiesta ST-2 Finsport
Bit of a random one, but how easy is it to sell an engine for one of these? I would like to hear from the people that have.
Say an average mileage one? Also if it was to be sold with a fresh, genuine renault cambelt and aux kit bolted on (properly) would this attract more interest and a higher price!?

now this isn't a usual CS numpty question lol just a though and I know it could be like well how longs a peice of string etc etc!

Ok cool but what I really meant to say is how long would it take to sell. The markets flooded with people breaking/selling RS bits lately!

i reckon you would get more if you offered the belt kit with it rather than fitted.

£500 seems fair but some people who are breaking the hole car give them away for peanuts just to get shot of them.

The above. I seen one the other day with just over 60k for £320.

There not worth a lot as everyone is breaking them.

Only way you are getting 500 quid for one is if its from a trader with a good rep who is selling it with it going out the door with a freshly fitted genuine cambelt kit and aux kit and fully assembled with power steering pump and alternator etc generally.

If you are selling it as a private individual and want shot quick you are looking at more like 200 and people on here generally wont trust a belt done by someone they havent heard of so you will find it hard to increase that value by enough to cover the 150 odd quid the parts will cost you.

Selling it bare is a better option profit wise really as you can then sell the alternator, PAS pump, aircon pump etc seperately, and likewise the inlet (people want spares to send off to get matched)

Oh and everyone always lists the exhaust manfild at a tenner, but I dont think Ive ever heard of one actually selling, so just weight it in and you'll get a few quid as its stainless.

They sell relatively well, and I'd even say that most people will buy them for more if the belts have been done as long as you can honestly say you know what you're doing.

It doesn't really matter if you're not a specialist, as long as you don't start talking about tipex etc then I'd say you're all good.
