ok, i am going to be dropping the RSi/1.8RT engine in to my 1.4...

my insurance group is a 5 and the 1.8RT which the engine will be out of ( ) is a insurance group 6/7 ....

how do they work out the insurance for dropping in this engine, basically going to say my bottom end has gone, desperate for an engine, i cant get hold of this one very cheap and have it fitted... bla bla blaaa...

how do they work it out, cost etc..? :approve:

most people dont tell them!! but if u want it done well an legal then i think u need to get it vic tested so its save an stuff! u found the specs yet on the 1.8RT??

wat engien did the 1.8rt use? how come u dnt see many of these for sale?

they only came in a 5 door, very very very rare dude, same engine as the RSi, but using single point injection (spi) and a different inlet manifold... has around 90hp compard to the RSi 110bhp

hence why i am using the RSi lump

1.8RT rele aren't anything over the 1.4!s had a lil go with one in my old RT and there rele was no difference! quite surprising rele!

RSi's aren't slow tho!
