my friend works in a bodyshop on a kind of self employed basis, and so me and him took up the challenge of fixing my arch's, we did it in 3 days but we worked long hours, it would normaly take about a week i think, onto the pics -
Arch 1 -
rust cut out
plate welded
primered and masked for first base coat
re-flatened and masked for paint
ARCH 2 -
This arch wasnt realy rusty just had 1 or 2 small bubbles, but it had a crack in the paint all the way along where it had been repaired before so we decided we would just rub it down past the crack and paint it, so i was sat there rubbing it down on the crack when it would shift, so i kept going down, and thats when i realised it wasnt a crack in the paint, my heart sank when it became clear it was a crack in filler, 1cm worth across the WHOLE panel
it had been bodged up with fibreglass and filler

Yes i know theres compound everywhere but its been raining and ive been far to tired to do anything about it yet, ill give it all a good clean tommorrow, my friend can do this work on anyones car, he said a similar job for members off this forum will cost £200 all in, he will need the car for approx 1 week, if your interested, fire me a pm, but no time wasters please!!
