Hey peeps,

I'm looking for some inspiration here....

I'm about to hook up a flip out DVD headunit with an xbox 360 into my clio this weekend and was just wandering if firstly, anyone else has done this? And secondly, what could I add to my ICE setup? So if anyone has a sweet ICE install (and i dont just mean 10 speakers with 46 subs in the boot), care to share some pictures/ideas with me??

no s**t lol..... we're driving to val d'isere in france for a weeks skiing and last year when we did it there were times waiting about where we got very very bored!!!

edit... plus the box has like all my albums on too so a nice selection of tunes for the drive

If you do a search for in-car PC, I think you'll find some bits and bobs.

People on here will think you're mental because the v6 is like a Veyron, it sounds like you're doing it for the right reasons and not doing anything you can't put back so crack on.

I'd like to see the finished article TBH.

Have an Alpine D106R in my car along with the sat nav unit, bluetooth, imprint upgrade etc. Could not be without it now.

Audio wise full JL install. JL Slash amps, JL ZR650 components and 12 W7 AE subwoofer. (I pay quite a lot less for JL gear than most people, so why I have the JL stuff.)

Looking at adding an 8" JL ZR800 mid bass up front and then change the 6.5 into a normal mid. Just not had chance yet, plus too cold to be doing fibre glassing.

Use it for DVD's a few times. Was considering putting a 360 in a while ago, but the spare one I had died. So the idea went with the xbox.

I will say do not buy those cheap ripspeed DVD units, they are utter garbage. Buy a decent one if you are going down that route. Friend bought the Ripspeed, the distortion from the on board amp was mental. Could barely get it to any level volume wise before it sounded completely s**t. Swapped it out for an Alpine and it was 100 times better. Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine any of the big makes just keep to them.

Yer I'm not going to be modding/adapting anything so it can all be removed. I just have a v. short attention span so need a constant source of entertainment lol.

Tbh it's not that bad! Average about 25mpg

Nope, sorry i lied people!! I looked at the trip on the way home and its averaged at 23.7! But i f**king give it some once I hit the b roads on my commute so 25 is definitely do-able.
