I can feel my steering column?

I don't know if this is normal or not but when ever I've got my foot on the clutch and turn the steering wheel I can feel the steering column move

Will this just be down to my driving position? anyone else find this?

I have this on my mk2 ph2 its just where you put your foot

when i have wet soles then it squeks too!

Yes you can feel it, look under your dash next time your about to get in the car... You can see it.

(the Silver rod in the centre of pic, left of the pedal)
