money is tight this month as its insurance renewel time, anyone reccommend an ok, it will do, sort of, budget tyre for my car whilst i wait to get a full set purchased. continental?

Depending on where the puncture is, you might be able to get it repaired.

if your 15mm or under from the edge its a new tyre, 15mm plus and your ok to get puncture repair which is normally £10ish. correct me if im wrong?

Chris I've got 2 in my garage if 195/45 R16 is any good to you (both fit on a 182 wheel even though 205 width is the standard). Just put 2 new rainsport 2's on the front of mine but thought I'd keep the others as spares as both still legal...

1 firestone "SZ something or the other" about 2mm of tread in total so would just legally see you til the end of the month, you can have that one free if you want it?
1 Hankook "S1 evo" with about 4-5mm of tread... yours for the grand sum of say 20 quid?

I can drop one off to you after work tomorrow if that helps as your only round the corner?

Let me know if either's any good, no worries if not as I know not everyone is keen on part worns and the 205 width gives a bit of extra protection for your shiny black wheels

hey people thanks for the great help, and you sam, what a hero, i left it jacked up the other night and kate had the punctured repaired, so it is all good, and i passed my MOT yesterday just had an advisory for a worn gaitor that has come apart or something. But its all good, going to ring the insurance company today and get a qoute on this decat pipe and get it all booked up for the london tunnel run. cheers people
