I pod touch and Nike +

Does anyone have the chip in there trainers connected to there touch? I have bought one and it says the application should be pre installed. I have searched the apple web site and it says it should be there. My question is how do i download the application to my Ipod. I have tried through I tunes and the online store. HAs anyone done this?

Yes the chip is in the trainers. I have pluged the dongle in and it says this ipod does not support this plug in. It is here on there web site. http://www.apple.com/ipod/nike/

Yes mine is 1st generation. What a rip off. Oh well back tot he sports centre.

Not totally, it is possible that Nike+ apps can come to the older models with 3.0 firmware.
(Using the dock adapter)

I searched all morning and rang Apple. All they said was just install I tunes 8.1 which i have. Im going to take it back lol.
