I rang 4 valver insurance...

I rang around for quotes today for a 1.8 16v. I am 18 with 1 yrs no claims and tptf I got quoted from £2499 to £1650 which I didnt think was bad from hyper-performance (being the cheapest). Anyone know liverpool victoria s number? Cheers, Sam

im the same as u fella, elephant quoted me 1165 tpft but you have to pay in one lump sum!

Liverpool victoria wouldnt insure me but the number is 0800748748, give them a bell!

Elephant is best though and put both your parents on the policy, goes down even more!

I got quoted 2300 on a williams before I bought the valver but didnt want to pay that sort of money for insurance!

Try Adrian Flux - not sure of the number but theyre good.

You are young though and you will get stung.

they were more for me, they said admiral had the best quote (which they did)

so i went on to admirals website & they turned out cheaper, than what confused had quoted me for them.

admiral, elephant, bell etc are all the same company under the admiral umbrella.

Add your mum and dad onto your policy as named drivers if you can (assuming theyve got clean licenses etc) this will bring down your premium. Im 21 and I got my insurance for the 172 through Admiral. Comes to just over a grand with 1 year NCB.

I wouldnt go with Adrian Flux - they are terrible for telling you one quote over the phone then sending the paperwork through with an excess double the size of what they said on the phone. Plus, my brother had to threaten them with a solicitors letter to get them to pay back part of a premium he was owed.

Oh, and GAP alarm fitters are dodgy as f*** too. Broke my central locking while fitting an immobiliser then said they could only come out to look at it if I paid em £70.

yeah confused are good, youll probalby find that churchill keeps coming back with cheap quotes which led me to go to their site directly for future quotes only to be told they dont cover for mods! my clios been lowered, tints, alloys, backbox etc and they would only coverme for the alloys

Adrian Flux are useless.

I know - I had to claim through them.

Would never ever ever get insurance through them again.

Carefull if you havent declared and have an accident then NO insurance pay out, and this HAS happened to a couple on this ofrum!

Never worth it for a few quid!

how is elephant so cheap for everyone but they quote me thousands? i quoted as if i was 21 with a year NCB, 2 SP30s and an accident where i wasnt at fault, minor modifications declared, and they wanted £2608.54!

i pay way less than half that now when im still 20 with no ncb (although i dont declare my mods but i havent done anything that cant be put back)

Elephant were NOT cheap for me either - ill be 18 with NO NCB on my 1.4RT, declared my alloys, lowering and exhaust. The quote:

4000 grand! Not good when CIS quoted me 1600 and Liverpool Victoria were 1843! Also liverpool victoria said the quote would only change if i changed the engine! Somehow i think he meant engine mods! lol!

See, Liverpool Victoria have never given me a fantastic quote..

They wont insure me on a Williams..

Elephant do and a decent price too..

Companies vary so much, heh.
