How and Want do i need/use to make my engine matt black like andys here?

just popped in to halfrauds to look at paint but i'm none the wiser, do i need to prime it? Can i use hammerite paint - is that stuff heat resistant? Help me, i'm completely :S

i think you should get it anodised which is a type of electro plating. look in the yellow pages for companys who do it! looks good tho. i had a look when i went for my 12k service!
