I want to paint these....

lol

na- cant afford to get it done professionally- plus id rather jus do it myself.

so what kind of paint should i be gettin- any1 done this before?!

as for pink....maybe....but what shade!?

any1 else?

im sure u can get em done for like £25 a wheel in a bodyshop! get ya wallet out ya stingy git ;)

plus it will flake and look all sh*tty in no time runnin round down by the road at speeds in no time.

wirebrush and sandpaper, use some kinda cleaner and wipe thoroughly.

mask up the parts u dont want paint getting on. i.e. where the wheel bolts on.

u can then either spray or hand paint, prob best to hand panit. and u can buy caliper paint which will do the job. (plus use hardner)

25 x 4 = far too much for a student too spend on a simple job

where as a pot of paint and a couple of tools = what- 25 quid?

if it flakes it flakes.....its a learnin curve!

now- how do i do it god dammit!

cheers for ur input ben

mate im looking at this to be my next mod, halfords sell a tin for 9.99 and in my halfords in got a ripspeed section and they sell spray paint for calipers at 18.99.

prob do it next week, but get some picks up when you do it

no probs dude. and yup you should be able too!

Btw im a student too bugger being strapped for cash innit

but the good thing is it makes you do all the work on your car your self, there for learning sh*t and getting self satifaction out of your own work!

take ya time when doing it, and it should look the mutz nutz.

I am planing on doing my calipers front and back silver, now I know that they are pretty much silver (but covered in dirt) they will be much easier to keep clean once they are painted.. but thats a job for later when boredom sets in.

im at bournemouth uni, your self mate? :)

KDF, yus! much easy to clean, bascially if u just wipe when u normally clean your car will keep them clean. put it this way will prevent surface rust aswell.

Smooth Hammerite will do the job cheaply and is OK as long as you start with a clean dry surface. It needs a good stir beofre you use it and you can get a nice bright blue and loads of other colours too.
