The phase 2 does not have a dedicated IACV as the throttle plate is stepper motor controlled which performs the same role by advancing the throttle plate slightly as and when it's needed to stabalise the idle speed.

I personally find cleaning them out helps a great deal especially when they've been on the car since the second coming of Christ but it's results are most effective/noticeable in conjunction with clearing the engine managements adaptive settings also. The F4 is a fairly heavy breathing unit and oil vapour is recirculated via the TB which gunks them up over time. This in itself isn't a huge issue but the build up can actually restrict the movement of the plate especially when starting up and running from cold as its more like a glue than oil until its properly warm. When this is left to occur over a long period of time the plate needs to move further to stabalise the engine speed due to the residue reducing the clearances between the body and the plate... this results in a lumpy idle and can even cause stalling when say dipping the clutch at roundabouts for example. This is because the more drastic the TB plate angle required to stabalise the idle speed the slower it takes to actually stabalise the engine speed as the plate needs to move further which in turn causes a delay and so a horrible bouncy idle).

Sorry if that doesn't make sense but I'm a bit pissed at the minute

As Dan says, there isnt one and as per Mick/Fred, unless you can reset the learn functions on the throttle body afterwards (RS Tuner being the simplest way to do so) then its can cause problems.

If you start forcefully winding it open and shut when you are cleaning it then that can damage it too, the cogs inside are only plastic and dont always take well to be loaded up in the wrong direction, you can actually snap them internally if you are too rough with them.

And just to add on what Chip said above regarding man handling the throttle plate, don't do it unless the TB is unplugged as the plate has been known to resist and fight back which only encourages you to press harder and break it.
