Cheers. Bought some koni adjustables and new top mounts, won't be using the koni springs as already have sportlines fitted so will be selling them, and fitting the shocks with a new whiteline arb

God knows mate, i wake up one day and think that's it Clios going but today i did a few bits on it and i want to keep it again!!!

Theres not alot more i want to do to the Clio apart from maybe cams, a re-map and a de-cat. As ive said i have just spent a few quid on the car and have not had any use out of it.
If i was to sell then i would put the money into the MK2 Fiesta project but then i think all the Clio money will buy is part of the engine also do i want to end up with a old rusty ford...lol

I like the Clio they are good fun cars to use alot or a little like i do but i also like the idea of building the Fiesta which will give me something to do with my spare time as i hate not doing stuff.

Its a catch 22 mate, im going to get the suspension set up on the Clio this week and i have had the new PE2s tyres fitted today so i will tax it and use it for a month or so and see what happens, i have still got some welding work to do on the Fiesta so i don't need any money for it yet.

Cars booked in to swr next week to get the konis fitted and get a coolant flush/change, and get my Neil roper matched inlets finally fitted, and as I was doing the suspension I thought it would be rude not o throw on a whiteline arb I bought from demon tweaks for a bargain 144.99 delivered

oh I also fitted some clear side indicators thanks to Fraser j and stuck in some silvervisions in the front to clean it up, will get some pics up of these soon.

The koni springs won't be used as I have eibach sportlines on already so will sell them on.


Next up pms top mounts and strut brace, not sure if I should get camber bolts?
Also want to get the gearbox oil changed, and I bought a matt black smoothed rear wiper blank to remove the rear wiper.

Not had an update for a while. So the konis and whiteline are on, loving them! Had them pretty firm but was a bit too hard for the road so have softened a tad and they feel great now. I also had the matched inlets fitted at the same time. Iv just sourced a cup spoiler in iceberg silver so ill be fitting that this week, and also got a rear wiper blank in black as I'm planning on removing the rear wiper.
Just been generally keeping it clean, used auto glym leather care on the interior at the weekend it came up really well.
Plans are pms top mounts and strut brace, poly bush everything and rack bushes, next step cams when the belts are due, thinking 421's and mapping at rs tuning

It doesn't get driven in the wet John Aye I remember the flamer being twitchy in the wet especially on roundabouts etc but ill take it easy on twisties when is wet

Not much been happening recently, just keeping it clean and enjoying driving it. I did manage to snap a handbrake cable couple of weeks ago parking on a really steep hill so replaced both cables with genuine Renault parts. It has also developed an annoying starting issue, turns over fine but occasionally takes several attempts before it starts, had it on the clip but showed no faults but I'm having a new crank sensor fitted tomorrow and also having the gearbox oil replaced. Just lost out on some jenveys and gen90 ecu to Leeds182 after making an offer but was just too late. Oh well. May get cams soon.
opie oils had a good deal 20% off everything so bought this for the gearbox as I don't think it's ever been changed

Im the same mate, not driven it much.
Just bought some spacers which I will be fitting also im still waiting for the dvla to sort my number plate out.

Oh I've bought a new set of badges and a 182 exhaust manifold as part of my engine mods.

Yeah constantly looking at cars for sale thinking I should really buy something bigger for the family, couldn't get my sons new bike in it last week had to jam it in the back beside him, not ideal at all. I do enjoy driving it when I'm alone in it.
