where the fin hell is the idle control valve? any one got a pic of the engine or details how to find it?

depends on engine/age. is your throttle the old cable set up or fly by wire? (electronic no cable). the fly by wire type injection doesnt have an idle valve as the motorised throttle body controls idle. on the normal cable set up the idle air control valve is on the left hand side of the inlet manifold at the top (looking from the front of the car). it is a solenoid/plunger type valve that controls air through a hole in the inlet manifold. can you post a pic of your engine bay?

im guessin top left where them 2 connectors are! its the one more to top left of the 2!

yes its the top left one with about 4 wires to it.
