idling my 1.6 16v

  Mk2 Ph1, 1.6 16v Clio

hi,

I have a v reg 1.6 16v clio with 32,000 miles on it. Everything seems okay with it but when im idling at the traffic lights or whatever the car periodically vibrates slighlty as if the engine is intermittently vibrating, like moving from side to side more than it should. I doubt its anything too bad as ive felt it with other cars just not as pronounced as this. ANyone got similar or can reassure me its okay?

Cheers,

Daz

If its not to severe or sounds like the engine realy will stop then forget it.

The new Renault engines are designed for emmisions friendly use which results in the poor idle.

Nothing much you can do unfortunatly.

Its a real pain, get so many in work with the same problem, but nothing much you can do, when you tell the customer its to do with the emmission friendly engine you get a look of "Your telling me bullsh*t!"

You could always check plugs and coils, but they are normally ok.
