Idling problem?

I never noticed it before but when i start the car up it idles at around 1200 Rpm for the first few minutes, before settling down below 1000.
Why is it doing this? its a new issue so i assume its not normal?

automatic choke? possibly.........just to get the engine running and warmed up a bit

Hmm, just seems odd that its never done it before. I only noticed as i got more vibrations than normal through the wheel before it settles

Not a misfire or anything tom? sounds normal to me my 1.6 was werid some times and would idle really high and would fluxuate sometimes but never fixed it due to it only doing it once very 3 months or so
