Hi all .....

Just starting a small thread with my new to me Clio 200 .

Was on here years ago with a lovely 172 cup which unfortunately was written off

Had quite a few cars since then ... a few pics of some ( as we all love pics !)

Anyway .... had the Clio for just under 2 weeks now . Really good car and just so enjoying to throw about !

Made a few changes already

Led interior light
RS wheel Centers
20mm spacers
Private plate
Lower drivers seat rail
Seat covers
RS gear knob
RS floor mats

Removed all the wheels and given the arches a good clean , ceramic coated the wheels . Few bits of trim replaced .

Only other thing I’m going to order is a set of Bilstein b14’s and some AD08R tyres . Plan on a few track days a year and generally just keep it in tip top condition

Welcome back! IIRC I remember your old 172 cup, as you came along to a few South Central meets years ago.

Yep ... probably around 8 years ago I had that ... 2 kids and a lot of cars later I’m back ?? was a lovely car that cup , mint !

Was a chap on here that took me out in his 172/182 with H&R Coilovers in if I remember... builder I think . Can’t remember his user name though ( 8 years older as well ?)

Yes mate, fabia vrs, Hilux and BMW M2.

Spent the day cleaning / driving the cars and generally tinkering... mate came over in his new toy .. so went for a drive with him ..... still making up my mind with suspension but ordered new drop links, rotation links , track rods , dog bone mount to go on when I either get a set of Eibach Springs or Bilstein b14’s

Yes I agree .... that would probably be more like it , if Porsche made a hot hatch ..... and that even fits with Porsche’s ‘ let’s take things out and changed more ‘ philosophy .
As much as I like/ respect the R26R .... it’s not worth the money in my eyes over a regular R26 with a few choice mods

Been collecting parts for the car last week ... booked in this Thursday with Rentech to fit the Bilstein’s, new top mounts , track rod ends , drop links , anti rotation links , dog bone bush .... also had the bump strips , door handle and B pillars wrapped in gloss black ....

Also had the Porsche paint corrected and ceramic coated.... used the same guys for 5 of my cars now and the standard of the finish is impeccable. Anyone in the Hampshire area thinking about getting it done , I’d highly recommend them ..... ‘In detail car care ‘ on Facebook
