I'm a Clio owner once again.

Having owned a Clio 1.2 Oasis, then a Clio 1.2 Grande followed by a Clio 172.

I've now come full circle and ended up buying a 1.4 Clio RT. Its a replacement for my Renault 5 which got deliberately written off by some angry driver on Saturday.

He paid for the 5 to be replaced in cash so £800 back to me and then I bought this for £600.

I'm quite impressed, its got power steering, electric windows, central locking. Interior is in mint condition, outside needs some attention though. But I'll get round to that, for what it cost its was a pretty good buy.

Only got 69k on the clock as well.

Only parts which need attention are these, if anyone has any idea of what its likely to cost to repair, please let me know.

Yeah its ok, that is after I spent 4 1/2 hours on it though. Had to T-cut the whole car to bring the pain up to a shine instead of matt finish though. Then carnuba waxed it as well.

Trouble is that it rained and where I've loosened dirt its run black lines down the paint work which I'll need to white off later!! lol But with a few jet washes and good clean up it'll come out fine.

Just need those two things fitted and it'll be ok.

I'd have bough another 5

A Monaco or a GTX.

I'm definitely gonna own another 5, but next time I'm gonna spend a bit more on one and get a GTT or totally restored one.

For the time being this car is pretty good, not as much character but ten times easier to drive and also more reliable. Well I hope so anyway haha.

Yeah should be pretty reliable.

My 5 never used to like traffic jams or any kind of hot weather lol never overheated, just used to stall :S

Never had that problem with my 5 but then again its was only a 1.4 non turbo. The turbos are renound for heating up quite badly.

I will definitely have another 5 but the Clio will see me through for now anyway.
